Located on the campus of Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Fairfax Hospital Cancer Center has been ranked by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer in the nation's top 10 percent of cancer centers. Since 1968, it has retained continuous accreditation as a teaching hospital/cancer program by the Commission on Cancer. More cancer patients are treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital than any other cancer center in Virginia or Washington, D.C. The center has the only radiation oncology program in the metropolitan area accredited by the American College of Radiology. Inova Fairfax Hospital is also the only hospital in Northern Virginia to offer bone marrow transplants.
Research remains an integral part of our cancer program. Physicians affiliated with Inova Fairfax Hospital Cancer Center have enrolled patients in national pharmaceutical-treatment and physician-initiated institutional trials.
