Inova Breast Care Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital was the first Inova hospital to receive a prestigious three-year accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and one of the very first in the DC metro area to be recognized (all five Inova hospitals are now accredited). The American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Stroke Association (ASA) have again awarded Inova Fairfax Hospital the Gold Plus Award for outstanding specialized stroke treatment. The "Get with the Guidelines" designation indicates that stroke assessment and services at the hospital provide patients with the best chance of survival.
