About Vibha Thakral-Saalinger, MD

Dr. Vibha Thakral-Saalinger is a primary care physician board certified in internal medicine at Inova Health System. She joined Inova with more than 12 years of clinical experience.

Prior to joining Inova, she was an internist with Virginia Commonwealth University's Institute for Women's Health in Richmond, VA. She has also served as clinical faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University (1999–2011) and has a special interest in women's health issues and preventive medicine.

Dr. Thakral-Saalinger decided to practice internal medicine because of the amazing example of her own family physician as she grew up here in Northern Virginia. Her favorite part of her job is having the privilege to play such an important role in people's lives, motivating them to value and take charge of their health. She enjoys educating patients regarding small lifestyle changes that can have a huge impact on overall well-being. She loves exercising, trying new foods, and making memories with her family.
