Barbara Doyle, CEO, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital

Barbara Doyle serves as the chief executive officer, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, a 237-bed facility, and senior vice president of Inova Health System.

Doyle has more than 25 years of health care experience, serving most recently as vice president of patient care and ambulatory services at Winchester Hospital in Winchester, Mass. Prior to serving as vice president, Doyle was chief nursing officer of the 200 bed hospital.
Significant accomplishments at Winchester Hospital include achieving Magnet Status, ranking above the 90th percentile for inpatient satisfaction and consecutive Best Places to Work awards.

Doyle holds a Nursing degree, a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Health Administration. She has presented numerous lectures about maximizing results in healthcare and how to achieve magnet status.

She is a member of American Organization of Nurse Executives, American Nurses Association and Board of Directors, Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce.

Doyle oversaw a $30 million renovation and expansion plan at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, that will improve and enhance inpatient and outpatient care at the hospital and is currently leading the efforts for an additional expansion.
