Loring Flint, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Loring Flint, MD, is executive vice president, president of Inova Medical Group, and chief medical officer of Inova. In this position he is a major contributor to the overall strategic direction and priority setting within Inova as well as leading the broad areas of clinical quality and safety, clinical, effectiveness and performance. He is the clinical leader for the ambulatory and hospital EPIC installations. Recently, he played a lead role creating the newly opened physician practice, Pediatric Specialists of Virginia, which is a joint venture with Children’s National Medical Center.
Dr. Flint has more than 30 years of healthcare experience. He spent two decades at Baystate Health in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he served as chief medical officer for Baystate Health and president of Baystate Medical Practices. Prior to joining Baystate, he held leadership positions in emergency medical services and ambulatory and physician support services during a ten-year career at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Flint received a Bachelor of Arts degree in medical science and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.
