Mark Stauder, President & COO
Mark Stauder is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Inova. He has served in the role of Chief Operating Officer since 2006, and President and COO since 2010. With more than 30 years of experience, he is leading the reinvention of Inova to strengthen its strategic positioning and value creation for the regional community.
Mark's responsibilities include senior-level Health System strategy oversight of Regional Business Development, Health Plan Strategy, Clinical Quality & Effectiveness, Information Technology, Human Resources, System Service Line Development and Growth, Inova Medical Group (Inova’s Integrated Physicians Group), and Inova’s Five Hospital Campuses.
Prior to joining Inova, Mark served as the Chief Operating Officer for St. John’s Mercy Health Care, an integrated regional multi-campus health delivery system in St. Louis, Missouri. St. John’s Mercy Health Care is a 1,166-bed integrated $1.25 billion multi-campus, regional, not-for-profit health system that is part of Sisters of Mercy Health System. Prior to his relocation to St. Louis in 2001, Mark had served in senior leadership roles with the Sisters of Mercy in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi since 1979.
Mr. Stauder received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City and his Masters in Health Care Administration from St. Louis University.
