Maureen Swick, Senior Vice President, Chief Nurse Executive

Maureen Swick, RN, PhD, is Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive of Inova Health System. Swick comes to Inova from St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she was the Vice President, Patient Care Services.

Swick began her career as a staff nurse at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch New Jersey in 1984 and spent more than two decades in a variety of nursing roles of increasing responsibility before joining St. Peter’s in 2008. In addition to her many years as a nurse executive, Swick is active in AONE, serving in a variety of capacities including president of ONE/NJ in 2004-2006.

Swick has a PhD from Kennedy Western University, a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Monmouth University and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Brookdale Community College.
