Eligibility
Patients eligible for surgery must have a BMI and >39kg/m2, except in the case of life-threatening obesity-related problems such as diabetes, sleep apnea and hypertension. Patients with BMI 35 to 40 Kg/M2 may be considered candidates if they meet specific criteria.
All patients will need to undergo a psychiatric exam to assure that they are emotionally able to work with the program post operatively.
