Healing Exercise: Gyrokinesis – Fair Oaks Area

Gyrokinesis is based on principles of yoga, ballet, swimming, tai chi and gymnastics. Alesia Fowler will teach gentle circular movements to restore balance between strength and flexibility, increase range of motion, improve total body awareness and replenish energy for all levels of fitness. Expressive Arts: Finding Your Way with Clay!

Relax, enjoy and find your hidden creative self with professional ceramic artist and breast cancer survivor, Susan Fox Hirschmann, in her backyard studio. In the first session participants will use white clay to create small ornaments, charms, tiny dishes, or whatever else makes their hearts sing. Participants will paint colorful glazes on their work during the second session. The fired pieces will be ready for pick up at Life with Cancer soon after. All materials are lead-free, food safe and NIOSH approved. Limited space; registration is necessary by Monday, April 7.

Life with Cancer will adhere to the following guidelines to determine cancellation of classes or groups due to inclement weather

*If Fairfax County School System and Adult Education Programs are closed due to weather, classes will be canceled for that day and evening.

*If Fairfax County School System and Adult Education Programs have a delayed opening, classes and groups scheduled before 12 noon will be cancelled. Decisions on evening program cancellations will be made by 3 p.m. Please call 703-776-2841 and press option #3 for afternoon and evening cancellations.
