Facing Cancer? Life with Cancer® Can Help. Facing Cancer can be one of the most significant challenges a person encounters. Life with Cancer has been an integral part of the health care community since 1986, working to help people face the challenges of living with cancer by providing information, education and support. Funded primarily by community contributions, our programs and services are offered free of charge to people with cancer, their relatives and friends, regardless of where treatment is received.
Life with Cancer® Can Help.
Support and Education Life with Cancer offers seminars, support groups, individual and family educational meetings, and workshops to provide assistance in times of crisis, information on specific cancers, and to help people get the information and support they need to cope with a cancer diagnosis in the best way possible.
Complementary Approaches and Alternative Medicine Guide Life with Cancer offers a variety of classes to supplement medical treatments and make your day-to-day life easier. Classes offer an opportunity to try creative or physical outlets to access the mind, body and spirit. Experience with art, music, writing, or movement is not necessary. All that's needed is a sense of adventure and a willingness to explore.
A guide to Complementary and Alternative Methods from the American Cancer Society is listed.
