Nancy Steinbuechler, RN

Pediatrics, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital

• Nancy has been a nurse for 23 years.

• She has been an Inova nurse since 1998.

• Nancy is fascinated by the intricacies of the human body and compassionate by nature, so she entered the nursing profession. Prior to working at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Nancy was the clinical manager of maternal-child health at Inova VNA Home Health from February 1998 to March 2000. Nancy chose Inova because of the competitive salaries, flexible scheduling and the "community" feeling of Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. She will stay an Inova nurse because her colleagues share her intense desire to improve patient outcomes, while maintaining high standards in customer service. Nancy works three 12-hour shifts a week, so she still has time to tend to her family, manage her home and do "something nice for Nancy".

• Nancy enjoys time in the sun at local beaches as well as tending to her gardens and ornamental ponds when she isn't working. Her greatest joy is being able to play an integral part in the lives of her three children.
