Nursing Excellence Scholarship Program
Inova offers both general scholarships available on a very limited basis and specialized nursing career scholarship programs. Nursing excellence scholarships are awarded to Inova employees enrolled in an accredited nursing program and Inova nurses working on an advanced degree.
The following scholarships are available in 2012:
The Inova Nursing Excellence Scholarship
- All full-time employees, part-time employees who are working in a budgeted, Inova tuition assistance-eligible position at Inova
- Must be accepted into an advanced nursing degree program (i.e. RN-BSN, MSN, Nurse Practitioner, PhD, DNP)
- Must complete the program within five years
- 10 Awards up to $10,000, Additional awards up to $5,000, not exceeding the cost of the program
- Supplements any tuition assistance awarded through the Educational Assistance Program at Inova.
The John and Nina Toups Doctoral Scholarship
- Full-time and part-time employees who have been working in a budgeted, Inova tuition assistance-eligible position at Inova for at least 2 years
- Must have a master's degree in nursing
- Up to a $15,500 award
- Must be accepted into a nursing doctoral program (i.e. PhD, DNP)
Inova is thankful for the generosity of our donors which has enabled us to create special scholarship awards in addition to the previously mentioned scholarship programs. These scholarships are not available by application; Applicants applying to any of our Nursing Excellence Scholarship Programs are automatically considered for these scholarships. In the past we have been able to award the following scholarships:
