Mr. Roma is currently the database administrator for Inova Research Center (IRC), a position he has held since returning to Inova in September 2005. In addition, he is responsible for updating the content on the public and internal IRC Web sites. He oversees the initial part of the research application approval (RAP) process by assuring that applications are complete and all required documentation is included. He provides an overall technology service to the center.
This is Mike’s second “tour of duty” at Inova. He initially worked in Respiratory Care Service from November 1980 until August 1996 as a registered respiratory therapist. In August 1996, he transferred to Inova Learning Network as a clinical instructor for cardiopulmonary topics. In September 2002, he resigned to help start a higher education consulting business.
