The Abused Childrens Treatment Services (ACTS) provide specialized assessment and treatment services to abused children and their families. Therapists conduct developmental assessments with children 2-17 years of age to identify general functioning, including the presence of emotional or behavioral difficulties. Treatment plans are tailored to meet specific family needs and can include children's participation in individual, group, or family therapy. ACTS therapists participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary efforts to maintain a focus on the safety of vulnerable children. A family systems approach encourages family participation in all phases of children's treatment.
