About Amit R. Vaid, MD

Dr. Amit Vaid is a specialty care physician board certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, sleep medicine and internal medicine at Inova Health System. He has been in practice with Northern Virginia Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates since 2013 and currently focuses on both pulmonary and sleep pathology. He is deeply involved with Inova’s sleep medicine program and maintains up-to-date knowledge for optimal treatment of sleep apnea and other sleep disorders.

Dr. Vaid has been involved in the medical education of students and residents with faculty positions at Northwestern University in Chicago and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He continues teaching duties as an Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Inova Campus.

Dr. Vaid is happy to be back in his home in the Washington, DC, region. His patients find him to be caring, empathetic and knowledgeable. His patients have said, "I've never met a doctor more caring than Dr. Vaid. I feel lucky to be his patient."
