About David J. Kopin, MD

Dr. David Kopin is a specialty care cardiologist board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2014. He has a special interest in management of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiovascular disease prevention and hyperlipidemia.

He became interested in cardiology after shadowing a cardiologist during his first year of medical school at Duke. His goal is to help each of his patients by providing individualized cardiovascular care. He wants all of his patients to be as active and happy as possible.

A native of Rochester, NY, Dr. Kopin currently resides in Arlington. In his spare time he enjoys running, biking, gardening and spending time with his family.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Kopin worked as a Cardiology Fellow at the University of Michigan.
