About Joanna C. Wyman, DPM

Dr. Wyman is a specialty care physician board qualified in foot and ankle surgery at Inova Health System. She joined Inova in 2014 after completing her residency training. Dr. Wyman now serves as the Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. She is the primary attending physician at the podiatric medical clinics at both the Inova Transitional Care Program and the Merrifield Community Health Care Center, which both offer services to uninsured patients. She continues to be fully involved with the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus Podiatric Surgery residency program and is actively involved with resident education on a weekly basis.

Dr. Wyman became interested in the field of podiatry after she sustained a climbing injury while summiting Mount Kenya in East Africa. During the period she was under the care of a podiatrist for her own injury, she developed an interest in the field and a passion for medicine.

A Native of Calgary, Alberta Canada, Dr. Wyman received a BSc in Cellular Molecular and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary. She then attended Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ where she graduated first in her class earning her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. She completed her residency in the DC metro area at the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus Podiatric Surgery residency program and Georgetown University. She currently resides in Arlington, VA. In her spare time she likes to downhill ski, travel internationally, and enjoy all that the Washington, DC area has to offer.
