About Richard Ospina, MD

Dr. Richard Ospina is a neurologist. He joins Inova with over 13 years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in management of neuromuscular disorders.

Most recently Dr. Richard Ospina worked in private practice in Reston, Virginia.

Dr. Ospina became interested in neurology because of the complexity of the brain and the challenges of the care of neurological conditions. His goal is to help his patients manage their symptoms in the short term and maintain a long term team approach. This is a very exciting time for neurologists to practice medicine because significant breakthroughs are expected in the coming years. 

A native of Colombia, Dr. Richard Ospina currently resides in Oak Hill, Virginia with his wife Alexandra and his two children. In his spare time he likes to ride his bicycle and listen to music.
