The Nursing Observership Program provides an opportunity for college students or individuals seeking a career change who are pursing or interested in nursing to shadow a registered nurse in the hospital setting. Shadowing is for observation only. No hands-on activities are permitted. Shadowers are supervised at all times by an Inova Health System registered nurse.
For adults 18 and older
Eligibility
Applicants must be current college students or other adults interested in a career change and a minimum of 18 years of age.
Due to the high volume of requests we are not currently accepting applications for the Nursing Observership Program.
For students under 18
Students under the age of 18 interested in the medical field are invited to join Inova's Medical Explorers Club .
