Medical Students

Medical students enrolled in LCME-accredited programs (or their equivalent) may participate in rotations at Inova Health System facilities. Interested students who would like to apply for rotations should contact their Dean's Office for placement. All medical student rotations are authorized by the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education.

Eligibility Criteria

Medical students currently enrolled in LCME-accredited medical school programs must contact their home institutions when requesting rotations at Inova facilities. Eligible students must provide:

• A letter of good standing from the Dean's Office
• A statement of compliance with immunization requirements
• A statement of institutional malpractice coverage (subject to Virginia minimum requirements)
• A statement of HIPPA and OSHA training
• A completed Inova Application for Medical Student Rotations (contact Alyssa Thurman for the form)
