Description/Overview

This two-day, multi-specialty event will provide a comprehensive overview of surgical trends and future of the practice. A hands-on learning environment will provide attendees the opportunity to work alongside field leaders in simulation and cadaver labs. Didactic presentations by regional and national experts will review the advanced minimally invasive and robotic practice with regards to gynecologic and general surgical specialties and sub-specialties.  Practice specific issues, treatments, and techniques will be presented in an interactive manner through a series of break-out sessions.

Target Audience

This program is designed for gynecologists, general surgeons, and surgical subspecialties within gynecology and general surgery; nurse practitioners and physicians' assistants; and nurses, who want to learn the latest trends, hear expert speakers present, and participate in hands-on training in the field of minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
 

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will:
  • Have an expanded knowledge of minimally invasive surgery and robotics in the fields of gynecologic and general surgery to facilitate improvements in care and increased usage of minimally invasive procedures.
  • Have improved surgical skills and performance through “hands-on” simulation training and cadaver models.
  • Have expanded knowledge of how to best handle operational issues related to minimally invasive surgery and robotics.

Cancellation Policy

Registration fees include conference attendance, syllabus, lunch and refreshment breaks. Paid-in-full registration is required for admittance. Walk-in registrations are welcome. Written notice of cancellation postmarked by May 1, 2014 will of total registration paid, less a $25 administrative fee. The registration fee is non-refundable for cancellations received after the cancellation date.
