Financial and Volunteer Support

Financial support

Donating blood is not the only way you can help Inova Blood Donor Services (IBDS) achieve its mission of providing safe and adequate blood supplies for the communities we serve. Financial gifts, regardless of their amount, help us purchase cutting-edge medical equipment for blood collection and testing.
Note: All financial donations to IBDS are tax-deductible

In-kind contributions

It is a constant challenge to find new and affordable ways to recruit and retain blood donors. With the donation of products, services and gift certificates, businesses and organizations can play an important role in helping IBDS attract new blood donors.  In-Kind contributions also help us thank current blood donors and encourage their continued blood donations as they are eligible.

Charitable dollars

Whether you are a blood donor who wants to do more, or you are not eligible to donate blood but want to support our life-saving mission, your financial support will help ensure that quality blood products will always be available for every patient in need. As a 501©(3) not-for-profit organization, we depend on charitable giving to provide for service improvements that cannot always be fully funded otherwise.

For more information regarding financial donations to Inova Blood Donor Services, please contact the Inova Health Foundation at 703-289-2072 or email foundation@inova.org.

Volunteering is an excellent way for people who are not eligible to donate blood to support the mission of Inova Blood Donor Services.
