Breastfeeding Moms Group (An Inova Fairfax Hospital Women's Center support group)
This group, led by a experienced maternal-infant nurse/lactation consultant, covers all aspects of breastfeeding. A complimentary baby-weight check, refreshments and resource information are also available. Held Mondays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to noon. For the convenience of new moms, no pre-registration is needed. $5/session.
Location Inova Fairfax Hospital Women's Center 7th floor dayroom 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church
As an ongoing community-service project, the group also serves as a drop-off site for donations of new or gently used baby cloths, toys, and baby care items for new moms in need.
Group sessions are not held on major holidays or during inclement weather.
