Inova Health System and Sunrise Assisted Living formed an affiliation in 1998 to bring together the health care and care management expertise of Inova with the hospitality and assisted living expertise of Sunrise. Together we’ve created a new model of assisted living which facilitates access to health care services for residents in a social environment. As partners, we are able to provide the highest quality service to seniors and their families in our community.
There are currently 19 Sunrise Assisted Living communities in the greater Northern Virginia areas, some of which provide Alzheimer’s and dementia care in a dedicated neighborhood. Inova currently owns five assisted living homes in Reston, Fair Oaks, Fairfax, McLean and Mount Vernon. Sunrise develops and manages the communities.
Residents, their families, caregivers and physicians work together to determine the level of care this is most suitable for each individual. This may include assistance with daily activities such as bathing and dressing, taking medications correctly and on time, or household tasks. We also offer greater levels of care for residents who have additional needs.
To add to our residents’ comfort, Sunrise communities feature award-winning designs, beautifully decorated with spacious indoor and outdoor common areas for socializing and dining. We provide healthy and delicious meals, as well as recreational, spiritual and wellness programs and activities. Private and companion suites are available.
