Inova offers a full spectrum of behavioral and mental health services for Northern Virginia patients and families in emotional and psychological crisis. If you or a family member need medical support for emotional or addictive disorders that are impairing your day-to-day life, we are here to help. Expert, compassionate staff

Our multidisciplinary, collaborative team includes psychiatrists at both our inpatient and outpatient locations, nurse practitioners, licensed social workers, a psychologist and mental health therapists. An appropriate team of caregivers is assigned to each patient to meet his or her unique needs and goals.

Youth services

Inova Kellar Center serves children and teens ages 3 to 18, as well as their families. The center is Northern Virginia's only nonprofit center for children's outpatient mental healthcare and substance abuse treatment needs. Our comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment programs and an innovative special education school support families throughout Northern Virginia and continue to expand to meet future needs. Our Central Access and Emergency Services line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can access an Inova clinician or make arrangements for an emergency inpatient bed placement. For non-critical issues, you can email us at inovabehavioralhealth@inova.org
