Musculoskeletal tumors are rare and require specialized care. People with this unusual type of cancer deserve the expertise and reassurance that comes from a program dedicated solely to meeting their needs.
The innovative Musculoskeletal Tumor Program headquartered at Inova Fairfax Hospital is led by Dr. Felasfa Wodajo, a fellowship-trained orthopedic oncologist. Dr. Wodajo has extensive experience in limb-sparing surgery for bone and soft tissue tumors, including shoulder and pelvis tumors and endoprosthetic replacement of bones and joints. The Musculoskeletal Tumor Program treats both adults and children. Conditions include benign bone and soft tissue tumors, malignant bone and soft tissue tumors (sarcomas), and complex metastatic bone tumors.

A team approach
Our patients benefit from the combined expertise of our dedicated team of physicians who specialize in musculoskeletal radiology, pathology and medical and radiation oncology. Team members meet regularly to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan individualized to each patient. Our clinical coordinator, Amy Siegel, RN, personally guides each patient through diagnosis and treatment and is a key resource as well as a compassionate caregiver.
