Ellen Kessler, MD, MPH, FACP

In her role as medical director, Dr. Kessler will use her clinical expertise and management skills to oversee Inova’s occupational medicine centers ensuring integrated and consistent delivery of care. She will also focus on new program development and improving patient and client satisfaction through process improvement and clinical protocols.
Dr. Kessler received her medical degree from Georgetown University and brings over 25 years of occupational health experience and directorship to the program and is board certified in occupational medicine and internal medicine. She has worked with many national and local municipalities and agencies.
Su Choi, MD, is a family practitioner who sees patient at Inova Urgent Care Center of Purcellville. She graduated from University of Virginia and West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown. She transitioned her training in general surgery at State University of New York Buffalo after 3 years and completed another 3 years in Family Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Choi ran a family practice in Fairfax, VA, for several years. Her clinical experience includes working in various emergency and urgent care settings.
Vasudha Joshi, MD, has been seeing Occupational Health patients since 1998. She served as the medical director of Inova Urgent Care Center in Vienna and now sees patients at Inova Alexandria Hospital Occupational Health Center.
Dr. Joshi has extensive experience and knowledge working with numerous county agencies and private companies in Northern Virginia. She is very familiar with requirements of these numerous companies and is excellent in communicating with her patients and their employers. Her experience includes physical exams for firefighters as well as police and sheriff's departments and other environmental agencies that do HAZMAT work. In addition, she provides care to injured workers as well as fitness for duty examinations.
Nandini Koka, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Koka is the lead physician for the Vienna and Centreville Urgent Care Centers. She has more than ten years experience providing primary care medicine. For the past six years she has practiced as an urgent care and occupational health physician.
Dr. Koka's expertise in urgent care medicine brought her back to her native Northern Virginia. She grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. Dr. Koka received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her family medicine residency training at Lancaster General Hospital in Pennsylvania.
Edward Lewis, MD
Medical Director
Inova Occupational Health Center at Dulles South Medical Center
Dr. Edward Joshua Lewis is the medical director for the Inova Occupational Health Center at the Dulles South Medical Center, and has been with Inova Occupational Health since 2009. Dr. Lewis is board certified in family medicine and has completed a fellowship in sports medicine. Dr. Lewis has been the primary provider of physical examinations and testing for Loudoun County’s fire and rescue and police departments as well as other government employees who serve the county.
Teresa J. Sommese, MD, MPH, CFS is a physician executive with 28 years experience providing clinical leadership and medical management in large organizations. Dr. Sommese is a master's trained, board-certified physician who has specialized in occupational medicine, administrative medicine, public health and aerospace medicine. She has 21 years of experience as a Flight Surgeon in the USAF and has performed FAA exams while serving in the military.
Dr. Sommese earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and her Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
