For the most traumatic, life-threatening situations, Inova Fairfax Hospital is Northern Virginia’s only level I trauma center. Inova Regional Trauma Center provides the highest level of specialized care possible to both adults and children. Inova Loudoun Hospital has the only dedicated pediatric emergency department in Loudoun County.
When is it an emergency?

Inova offers emergency care at each of its five hospital emergency rooms and at four outpatient emergency care centers (Inova ECCs) at any hour of the day or night. All our physicians, nurses and laboratory and X-ray technicians are emergency room trained and board certified or board eligible. Inova emergency facilities are Joint Commission accredited and CAP certified.
Inova's stand-alone Emergency Care Centers handle any emergency for which you might otherwise go to a hospital emergency room. Inova ECCs provide state-of-the-art diagnostic testing, treatment facilities and laboratory services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No appointment is necessary.
