Reality Check

Reality Check is a collaboration between Inova Regional Trauma Center, the Fairfax County Public School Driver's Education Program and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. Students participate in a realistic, interactive program including:

• An overview by a trauma surgeon of the traumatic, life-changing effects of unsafe driving
• A visit to the trauma unit to witness a simulation of a trauma victim resuscitation
• An interview with local paramedics and a tour of an ambulance
• A presentation by a recent crash survivor about his or her injuries and rehabilitation
