Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is proud to be the first hospital in the Washington, D.C., metro area to acquire a state-of-the-art 64-Channel LightSpeed® VCT (volume computed tomography) scanner. This technology offers an innovative way for physicians to obtain information they need to diagnose disease and life-threatening illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, stroke and chest pain.

Our board-certified physicians perform a wide range of interventional radiology services and specialize in uterine fibroid embolization. We also perform numerous cardiac-related studies such as cardiac stress tests and cardiac catheterizations to help diagnose blocked arteries.

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital radiology exapansion project
Inova Mount Vrnon Hospital is expanding its Radiology Department to provide ease of access and better patient flow for both inpatients and outpatients. The expansion, scheduled to be completed December 2009, includes:

• 5,500-square-foot addition
• 11,00-square-foot renovation to improve space for
  • Ultrasound
  • Special procedures, including an additional interventional radiology suite
  • General and women's diagnostics
  • New outpatient entrance and enhanced patient waiting areas
