Patient Information

Out-of-town patients

Several local hotels, some with free shuttle service to the hospital, provide special rates for family members and friends. We understand how important loved ones are in the recovery process, and we make every effort to include them in each step of the process.

Support groups

Receiving a transplant can be a stressful, overwhelming experience. Keeping yourself and your new kidney or kidney/pancreas healthy is a lifetime commitment. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. The transplant center has monthly support group meetings. Transplant social workers are also available to help with support programs and coping. Call us for more information
