Preoperative Care

Annual evaluation with transplant center needed to monitor your health status, update any labs/evaluation tests, and reinforce transplant process
Monthly blood test (PRA) needed from you or your dialysis unit
Notify your coordinator of any illness/hospitalizations or if you receive a blood transfusion while an active candidate.
If insurance changes or any demographic information changes, please notify the transplant center immediately.
If you change dialysis centers or nephrologists, please notify your transplant coordinator immediately.
Removal from list can occur if you become lost to follow up or have inadequate insurance coverage for transplant.
Please notify the transplant center if you are multiple listed and have received your transplant at another center.
