Referral Process
Referral to the Inova Transplant Center can be initiated via phone call or fax from:
- Nephrologist
- Dialysis Unit
- Patient
- Insurance Company
After the referral is initiated, the referral secretary takes demographic and insurance information. Financial approval is requested along with medical records and copies of insurance cards. The patient is scheduled for a transplant education class and then scheduled for initial team appointments after financial approval is obtained.
