Oksana A. Shlobin, MD, FCCP, is assistant director of Inova Advanced Lung Disease and Lung Transplant Program at Inova Fairfax Hospital and co-director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program. She is also an associate professor of clinical medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine and assistant clinical professor of medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Shlobin received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Shlobin completed her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.
Dr. Shlobin has been involved in clinical research both during her fellowship and her tenure at Inova. She is co-author of multiple publications, including original research manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters. Her research interests include pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung diseases. She is a member of several professional medical associations, including the ATS, ACCP, ISHLT and the AOA.
