Do you avoid activities because of shortness of breath and fatigue? Pulmonary rehabilitation can empower you to be more active, social and independent through exercise and education in a nurturing, safe environment.

The Inova Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a comprehensive program that meets three times a week for nine weeks. Individual treatment plans are tailored by registered respiratory therapists and exercise physiologists to meet the patient's specific goals.


Who benefits?

Patients who can benefit from pulmonary rehabilitation's medical care are those with chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and patients who are pre- or post- lung transplantation.

The Inova Fairfax Hospital Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
