Stroke Support Groups
Stroke Survivors & Caregivers (3 locations)
Inova currently offers free support groups for stroke survivors and caregivers at three different locations: Telestar Court near Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Loudoun Hospital.
These monthly gatherings can be very helpful to individuals recovering from a stroke and to their caregivers. Among the numerous topics discussed:
- Understanding stroke and how it affects you physically
- Reducing risk for stroke
- Adjusting to and safely performing daily activities
- Nutrition and fitness
- Available community services

Stroke Survivors
The Survivors is a support group for stroke survivors ages 20 to 50 sponsored by Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month from noon to 2 p.m. in the 3700 building on the Inova Fair Oaks Hospital campus (3700 Joseph Siewick Dr, Conference Room B).
