As Northern Virginia’s only pediatric tertiary care center, Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children is a 186-bed, full-service children’s hospital that provides the highest level of patient care. We are home to the only pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and the largest subspecialty neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in Northern Virginia. Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children offers a complete range of expert, specialized children’s services in more than 30 medical specialties, close to home.

- Our location on the campus of Inova Fairfax Hospital provides emergency access to Inova Regional Trauma Center, the area’s only level I trauma center
- Our state-of-the-art pediatric heart program partners with Inova Heart and Vascular Institute to provide highly sophisticated services for our young cardiac patients
- Our pediatric hematology and oncology (childhood cancer) program works in tandem with Inova Fairfax Hospital Cancer Center, which has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top cancer centers in the United States
- Our pediatric gastroenterology services feature the expertise of our six board-certified physician specialists. These pediatric gastroenterologists offer vast experience in treating complex pediatric GI conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, GERD and other conditions.
