Inova Loudoun Hospital's commitment to our youngest patients extends to every moment of their care. Our Child Life Services include a specially trained specialist to help children and their families feel comfortable and supported throughout a hospital stay, whether as inpatient or outpatient.
Our certified Child Life experts are uniquely dedicated to focus on the psychosocial, developmental and educational needs of children dealing with illness and treatment. Our goals are to ease your child’s anxiety and promote positive coping skills that are as unique as your child. Our Child Life specialists also take culture, family and stage of development into consideration when providing therapeutic services.

- Distraction and support during medical procedures
- Medical and therapeutic play

- Bedside and play activities including "ouch-free" playrooms stocked with books, crafts and toys
