We have a large number of family-focused educational programs and support groups to help families cope and even thrive in light of their challenging situations.

Pediatric hospitalists
Inova’s pediatric hospitalists at Inova Children's Hospital and Inova Loudoun Hospital are dedicated to caring for hospitalized children. They are in the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week and available for admissions, inpatient consults or emergencies.

Inova Kellar Center is Northern Virginia’s only not-for-profit center for children’s outpatient mental healthcare and substance abuse treatment, serving children and adolescents from ages 3 to 18.

Last year, Inova Life with Cancer™ served nearly 200 pediatric oncology patients and their family members monthly, making this program for children with cancer one of the nation’s largest.

D.C. Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation sponsors support groups for DC metro area families who live with children diagnosed with cancer. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at Inova Children's Hospital. For more information, email D.C. Candlelighters or call 703-590-4134.

Ronald McDonald House
Located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families of children healing in area hospitals. Tender Hearts
This Inova Children's Hospital support group is for parents of children with a cardiac condition. It is led by parents with the support of a Child Life specialist and includes both parent interaction and speakers/topics on pediatric cardiac issues.
