Pediatric Sedation Services
Inova pediatric intensivists provide sedation services to children in a dedicated pediatric sedation and procedure suite. This is available to children undergoing procedures such as bone marrow aspiration, peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line insertion or other beside procedures where sedation supports the child and improves testing results. Nurses with special sedation education and a Child Life specialist also assist with this service.
