Inova Rehabilitation Center at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a regional leader in rehabilitative services. Our specialized inpatient unit has 67 beds adjacent to the nursing station for maximum response and supervision for those in our care. Brain Injury Program
The program focuses on using the latest therapeutic modalities to help patients improve cognitive and neurological functioning. We place emphasis on helping patients and families understand and progress through the various stages of brain injury recovery and prepare for a successful return to community.
General Rehabilitation Program
Individually-focused care for skeletal and musculoskeletal injuries, or for degenerative disorders such as multiple sclerosis (MS) or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Services focus on strengthening, self-care and return to independent, healthy living.
Spinal Cord Injury Program
Treatment for traumatic and nontraumatic spinal disorders, including injury, tumors, myelitis, and such degenerative diseases as spinal stenosis. We focus on therapeutic and patient education activities to maximize independence and successful adjustment to disabilities.
Stroke Program
Inova Rehabilitation Center is known throughout the region for its comprehensive Stroke Program. We help patients improve their speech, movement, cognitive skills and neurological functioning following a stroke, aneurysm or other condition involving the brain. Our staff has special expertise in evaluating and treating dysphagic patients.
