Marghi Rice Guarino, PT, DPT, OCS, Clinic Director
Marghi is the clinic director of IPTC in Centreville. She earned a BS degree in physical therapy from Boston University, received an MS degree in exercise science from George Mason University and gained a doctorate of physical therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University. Marghi is a board certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. She has continued to complete coursework from North American Institute of Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She is interested in manual therapy, foot and ankle biomechanics, and musculoskeletal spinal injuries. She has lectured at Marymount University and Northern Virginia Community College’s (NOVA) physical therapy’s assistant program. She serves on NOVA’S curriculum advisory board and has been recognized by SAS, leader in business analytics, for her use of outcomes in physical therapy. In 1995, she published an article in Isokinetics and Exercise Science
, "Comparison of Two Exercises on VMO and VL EMG Activity and Force Production." She is a member of The American Physical Therapy Association.
Katherine A. Booker, PT, DPT
Katie has been part of our team since 2004. She received her Bachelor's degree with top honors in health sciences and administration from James Madison University. She then received a Master's degree in physical therapy and her Doctor of physical therapy degree from Shenandoah University. Katie has an orthopedic background in the Maitland approach to spine conditions but also has extensive experience with various diagnoses and pathologies of the shoulder, hip and knee. She is also the co-coordinator of clinical education for Inova Physical Therapy Centers and she is a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She is an active member of APTA, the Virginia Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Therapists.
Hilda has worked for us since 2000. She is a licensed physical therapist assistant. She greatly enjoys working with patients and assisting therapists. In addition to supporting our therapists, Hilda serves as a Spanish Interpreter for Inova. With her skilled background, she is a wonderful asset to our team.
Brittany Clements, PT
Brittany has been with the Inova team since 2011. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2008 and went on to receive a doctorate in physical therapy from Old Dominion University in 2011. Brittany enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic and spinal conditions.
Maryam Farsi, PT, MDT
Maryam has been with us since 2005. She graduated from Tehran University with a Bachelor's degree. She has become a certified McKenzie clinician, the McKenzie method is a comprehensive approach to the spine and to the extremity based on sound principle and fundamentals. She believes that most patients can successfully treat themselves when provided the necessary knowledge and tools. Maryam has a background in the Maitland approach as well, which also helps her in the both diagnosis and treatment of her patients with any mechanical disorder in the spine and in the extremity. She is also interested in treating post-op orthopedic patients. Maryam is a certified clinical instructor from the American Physical Therapy Association.
Jeanne Maroney, PT
Jeanne has been a practicing physical therapist for 33 years. She graduated cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, with a BS in physical therapy. Her primary area of practice has been outpatient orthopedics, although she has also worked in acute and home care. She has an interest in shoulders and joint replacement but has treated people with a wide range of diagnoses. She enjoys sailing, swimming, walking, hiking and reading and was a high school and college athlete.
Beena Nair, PT, DPT
Beena joined us in 2003. She received her Bachelor's Degree in human biology and anthropology, summa cum laude, from Temple University. She went on to receive her Master of Science from Arcadia University. Beena received her Doctorate in physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She has worked primarily in an orthopedic setting. Her special interest is in treating spine pathologies. She serves on the advisory board for the Inova Spine Institute at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Beena is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and a certified clinical instructor through APTA.
Paulette Rainie, PTA
Paulette graduated magna cum-laude from Northern Virginia Community College in the physical therapist assistant program. She also holds a Bachelor's degree from Skidmore College. Paulette is a certified group fitness instructor and has led classes in many area fitness clubs for over twenty five years.
Aubry Ridpath, PT, DPT
Aubry joined us in 2008. She graduated from Marymount University with a Doctorate of physical therapy. She enjoys working with post-operative orthopedic patients and she has recently received the American Physical Therapy Association's clinical instructor certification and looks forward to investing in students and their future. In her free time, Aubry enjoys traveling abroad with her husband as often as possible.
Kristen Rinaldi, PT
Kristen received her Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Indiana University and joined our team in 1993. She is a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. Kristen enjoys treating many orthopedic conditions, but she is especially interested in the elbow and hand.
