Seth Blee, PT, DPT, CFMT
Seth is the Clinic Director of the Inova Physical Therapy Center at Sportsplex. He graduated from Boston College’s pre-medical program with a BS in philosophy. He graduated with honors from Columbia University with a MS degree in physical therapy. He completed his transitional Doctorate in physical therapy degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences. Seth has worked with different patient populations, but has focused the majority of his time in orthopedics. He has received functional orthopedic certification and certification in functional manual therapy from the Institute of Physical Art. Seth is an adjunct faculty member for the Institute of Physical Art serves as an adjunct faculty member in orthopedics at Marymount University’s Doctorate in physical therapy program. He also teaches continuing education courses to physical therapists throughout the country. He is a credentialed clinical instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Marie Gephart, PT, DPT
Marie became part of the physical therapy team in 2010. Marie completed her Bachelor of Science degree and two years of graduate study in chemistry at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She was awarded her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Washington University. Much of Marie’s clinical experience has been in outpatient orthopedics where she has found a passion for patient education and advocacy. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Samantha Griffin, PT, DPT
Samantha, a recent addition to both IPTC Sportsplex and to Virginia hails from Jersey City, NJ by way of New York City. Samantha joined the team in June 2012 as a new, excited, motivated therapist with a clinical focus in orthopedics and manual therapy. A 2009 graduate of Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY with a degree in Health Sciences and a 2012 Doctorate of Physical Therapy recipient from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, Samantha is IPTC’s newest Orthopedic Functional Manual Therapy Resident. She has completed several continuing education courses with the Institute of Physical Art as well as Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars.
Vanessa Hodge, PT, DPT, OCS
Vanessa is a senior physical therapist at the Sportsplex location. She completed her undergraduate schooling at the College of William and Mary and received her degree in kinesiology and psychology. She then earned her Doctorate in physical therapy from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has completed her orthopedic clinical specialist certification with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Vanessa has also become an APTA credentialed clinical instructor and has been teaching students for the past few years.
Kelly Long, PT, DPT
Kelly received her MS in physical therapy and completed her doctorate at The Sage Colleges. She joined the Sportsplex in 2006. She has studied tai chi for arthritis and through the Arthritis Foundation has been an arthritis self-help course instructor. Kelly is credentialed clinical instructor from American Physical Therapy Association and has been instructing students for most of her career. Kelly is working toward a manual therapy certification through the McKenzie Institute and she has also completed advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation
Daniel Vitug, PTA
Daniel is a graduate of Northern Virginia Community and has been practicing as a licensed physical therapist assistant since 2008. Primarily based in outpatient PT, he also has worked in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. He has worked in Maryland and Virginia and continues to hold licensure in both states. During his education, Daniel worked for INOVA Springfield as a PT technician and has returned as an LPTA since October 2012.
Sandip Vyas, PT, CBIS
Sandip is the newest addition to the Sportsplex clinic. In October 2011 he transferred over as a senior therapist from Inova’s Rehabilitation Center at Mt. Vernon Hospital after over 9 years with the inpatient neuro team. His area of expertise and interest include stroke, brain injury, multi-trauma, and orthopedics. Sandip is a graduate of Northeastern University’s Co-op program where he received his Physical Therapy degree in 2000. He has experience in almost all therapy settings and has treated and interacted with patient populations in the US as well as overseas. Sandip has been a clinical instructor for many years and is recognized as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist by the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists.
