Karla Wortman, PT

Karla Wortman, PT
Clinic Director
Karla has been a physical therapist with our team since 1992. She completed her Bachelor of Science in physical therapy at Ohio University. Karla became the clinic director in 2002 and runs the daily administrative operations of the clinic along with providing patient care. She is a member of the patient care polices and procedures committee and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Daniel Lee, PT, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist
Daniel graduated from Virginia Tech in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science degree in human nutrition, foods and exercise. He worked as a certified personal trainer and sports specific trainer from 2005 to 2008. He then obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in 2011. Before joining Inova in 2014, he worked at a private orthopedic clinic. Daniel recently received his certification in dry meedling through Kinetacore.

Megan McKenna, PTA

Megan McKenna, PTA, CMT
Senior Physical Therapist Assistant and Certified Massage Therapist
Megan has been with our team since 2002. She graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor's degree in physical education with a sports medicine concentration. She completed her Associate's degree as a physical therapist assistant from Northern Virginia Community College. Megan became a certified strength and conditioning specialist and she is also a certified massage therapist. She recently became a certified lymphedema specialist. Megan also provides assessments in which she develops tailored fitness programs for patients. Megan is a member of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and an APTA credentialed clinical instructor.

Michelle Schumacher, PT

Michelle Schumacher, PT
Staff Physical Therapist
Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from Maryville University. Michelle has worked in several different physical therapy settings during her career, but has focused on outpatient orthopedics as part of our team. She particularly enjoys treating patients with neck or lower back impairments and favors the treatment techniques of Robin McKenzie, recognized for his understanding and treatment of spinal disorders.

Nandina Jinnohara Ustaris, PT, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist
Nandina graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in environmental science. She undertook a career change and pursued her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University, graduating in 2010. Prior to joining Inova in 2011, she worked in a skilled nursing facility. Nandina enjoys working with the geriatric population. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Virginia Physical Therapy Association and has served on various committees. She is also a member of the Orthopedics and Geriatrics Sections of the APTA.

Amanda Weir, LPTA
Staff Physical Therapist Assistant
Amanda earned her Associate of Applied Science degree as a physical therapist assistant in May 2010 and is licensed by the Physical Therapy State Board. Amanda's career path has been lead by her desire to help others while serving the needy in the local community and abroad. Prior to joining Inova in 2013, she worked for a private outpatient orthopedic clinic incorporating Pilates based interventions into treatments. She has improved her skills and knowledge through continuing education courses in myofascial technique, manual therapy, and management/treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease. She integrates these manual techniques into her treatments to help the patients reach their optimal goals and has treated a wide age range from pediatrics to geriatric populations for both orthopedic and neurological conditions. She has a passion for orthopedic sports medicine and pediatrics. In her spare time she enjoys watching college football, traveling, and playing tennis.

Rebecca Worsham, PTA

Rebecca Worsham, PTA
Staff Physical Therapist Assistant
Becky has been with our team since 2006. She completed her Associate's degree as a physical therapist assistant from Northern Virginia Community College. Becky graduated from George Mason University with her Bachelor's degree in exercise science. She focuses on dynamic stretching programs for higher level athletes and is completing coursework to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist. She has been playing professional woman’s tackle football for the DC Divas since 2007.
