Karla Wortman, PT
Clinic Director
Karla has been a physical therapist with our team since 1992. She completed her Bachelors of Science in physical therapy at Ohio University. Karla became the Clinic Director in 2002 and runs the daily administrative operations of the clinic along with providing patient care. She is a member of the patient care polices and procedures committee and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Michelle Brown, PTA
Staff Physical Therapist Assistant
Michelle has been with us since 2007. She completed her Associates Degree as a physical therapist assistant from Northern Virginia Community Ccollege. She is enthusiastic about treating orthopedic injuries and looks forward to developing advance clinical treatment skills. Michelle is an American Physical Therapy Association certified clinical instructor.
Quang Bui, DPT, ATC
Staff Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer
“Q” has been part of our team since 2007. He graduated from Garder-Webb University with a Bachelors of Science degree in athletic training. He worked as a graduate assistant at East Tennessee State University and he transitioned into their physical therapy program and graduated with a Doctorate. Quang is also a board certified athletic trainer and has worked with the Washington Bayhawks as an assistant trainer. Quang is bilingual and speaks Vietnamese.
Megan McKenna, PTA
Senior Physical Therapist Assistant and Certified Massage Therapist
Megan has been with our team since 2002. She graduated from Radford University with a Bachelors degree in physical education with a sports medicine concentration. She completed her Associates degree as a physical therapist assistant from Northern Virginia Community College. Megan became a certified strength and conditioning specialist and she is alos a certified massage therapist. She recently became a certified lymphedema specialist and assists Kathy Webster, PT with this type of treatment. Megan also provides total body fitness assessments in which she develops tailored fitness programs for patients. Megan is a member of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and an APTA credentialed clinical instructor.
Michelle Schumacher, PT
Staff Physical Therapist
Michelle graduated with a Bachelors of Science in physical therapy from Maryville University. Michelle has worked in several different physical therapy settings during her career, but has focused on outpatient orthopedics as part of our team. She particularly enjoys treating patients with neck or lower back impairments and favors the treatment techniques of Robin McKenzie, recognized for his understanding and treatment of spinal disorders.
Behnaz Struthers, DPT
Senior Physical Therapist
Behnaz is a senior physical therapist and she has been on our team since 2005. She completed her Bachelors of Science degree in biology from George Mason University and then went on to complete her Doctorate of physical therapy degree at Marymount University; her thesis focused on the Alzheimer’s population and their gait abnormalities. She particularly enjoys treating patients with shoulder and knee impairments. Behnaz is an American Physical Therapy Association certified clinical instructor. She is also bilingual and speaks Farsi.
Kathy Webster, PT
Staff Physical Therapist
Kathy has been a physical therapist with Inova Health System since 1991. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in physical therapy from Marquette University. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics for her entire career. Kathy is a certified lymphedema specialist. Kathy is also an American Physical Therapy Association credentialed instructor.
Rebecca Worsham, PTA
Staff Physical Therapist Assistant
Becky has been with our team since 2006. She completed her Associates Degree as a physical therapist assistant from Northern Virginia Community College. Becky graduated from George Mason University with her Bachelors in exercise science. Becky provides Total Body Fitness assessments at Springfield with special focus on dynamic stretching programs for higher level athletes and she is completing course to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist. She has been playing professional woman’s tackle football for the D.C. Divas since 2007.
