Marcy Osterhaus, RN
Meet Marcy Osterhaus, RN, BSN, MS, Inova Women's Hospital gynecologic oncology patient care navigator. Marcy's role is to ensure that women with a diagnosis of gynecologic cancer receive the care and have access to the resources they need in a timely and efficient manner. With extensive knowledge of gynecologic cancer and the healthcare system, she guides patients and their families through the entire medical process, from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
Marcy has over 30 years of nursing experience – 17 of those caring for patients during their cancer journey. She is very knowledgeable about cancer treatment processes and standards, patient education, oncology research, infusion therapy and chemotherapy.
Marcy has a commitment to minimizing the confusion and anxiety that a woman experiences when diagnosed with gynecologic cancer by offering coordinated care, support and guidance.
Marcy received her bachelor’s degree in nursing and her master’s degree in organizational management from George Mason University. She has been certified in oncology nursing for more than 15 years and is a member of the local and national Oncology Nursing Society.
