About Mobile Hope

The Mobile Hope program is designed to support the needs of precariously housed and at risk youth.

As one of the richest counties in the country, it is easy to assume that Loudoun's youth all have permanent homes and stable lives. Yet recently 658 young students were identified as homeless or precariously housed by Loudoun County Public Schools. Nearly forty percent of these young people do not have a guardian or parent in their lives. They sleep in cars, in the woods, in abandoned warehouses or “couch surf” among their friends.

More frightening, there likely are many more precariously housed and at risk youth living in Loudoun County – as many as 700 to 800 – who have not yet been identified.

After the staff of Inova Mobile Health Services – Loudoun became aware of this harsh reality, they built partnerships with Loudoun County Public Schools, churches, police, government officials, health officials and community leaders to create ways for these kids to access essentials including:

  • Food
  • Clothes
  • Hygiene products
  • School supplies
  • Medical care

Inova is committed to being successful in partnering with others to meet the basic needs of precariously housed and at risk kids in our community.
