Orthopedic Trauma Injuries
Surgeons affiliated with the orthopedic center are part of the trauma team at the Inova Regional Trauma Center at Inova Fairfax Hospital. As the only Level I (highest level) trauma center in Northern Virginia and the only trauma center in the state verified as Level I by the American College of Surgeons, the trauma center sees many patients with complex orthopedic injuries each year. Orthopedic surgeons from the orthopedic center are responsible for orthopedic trauma care and coordination of all follow-up treatment and rehabilitation.
