  The Inova Pediatric Center provides primary health care and wellness education for children of low-income families, with more than 13,000 health care visits each year for underinsured or uninsured children in Fairfax County.

  Services provided at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children Specialty Center include: International Adoption Center, Craniofacial Program, Pediatric Kidney Center, genetics and the Pediatric Neuroscience Program.

  
  
• Pediatric Heart Care, with its affiliated pediatric cardiologists and pediatric cardiac surgeons, specializes in surgical and nonsurgical treatment for young heart patients.
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the only such unit in Northern Virginia, provides intensive care for children with life-threatening illnesses or injuries and postoperative care for our pediatric patients recovering from some surgical procedures.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides around-the-clock care by neonatologists and specially trained nurses.
• Pediatric Cancer Care, with its team of physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists and therapists, uses the most advanced methods to diagnose and treat cancer in children.
• Pediatric Pulmonary Services provides complete diagnostic services and medical care for patients with pulmonary difficulties -- asthma, infant apnea, cystic fibrosis, neuromuscular and restrictive lung diseases.
• Pediatric Kidney Center is a full-service program providing comprehensive pediatric nephrology services that include inpatient and outpatient consultations, hemodialysis, dialysis and home peritoneal dialysis training and follow-up care.
• Pediatric Neuroscience Program, with its team of pediatric nerosurgeons and child neurologists, specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the brain and spinal cord.
• Pediatric Facial Rehabilitation Program has a multidisciplinary team of professionals who evaluate and develop treatment plans for children with facial abnormalities.
• Pediatric Bone Marrow and Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplantationis an extensive program for bone marrow and peripheral stem cell transplantation of children ages birth to 21 years of age.
• Inova AirCare provides medical helicopter transport to Inova Hospital for Children for high-risk newborns and critically ill or injured children.
• Child Life Program, with its team of dedicated child life specialists, helps families through the hospitalization, works to meet the psychological needs of pediatric patients and coordinates treatment in ways that speed recovery.
• Ronald McDonald House, a home-away-from-home for families of critically ill children being treated in Washington area hospitals.
