Endoscopy

The endoscopy unit at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is dedicated to excellent patient care. We offer some of the latest technologies and an experienced, caring team of physicians, nurses and support staff in order to accommodate the needs of our patients.

The following endoscopic services are offered at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital:

• Colonoscopy — inspects the rectum and large intestine
• Esophogastroduodenoscopy (more commonly referred to as EGD) — examines the inside of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum
• Bronchoscopy — an exam used to view the airways
• ERCP — examines the bile ducts
