Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Names Patricia Mook Chief Nurse Executive

ALEXANDRIA, VA— Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is pleased to announce that Patricia Mook, RN, MSN, has been named chief nurse executive.
Mook, a resident of Loudoun County, has nearly 30 years of nursing experience and most recently was a clinical nursing supervisor with Inova Loudoun Hospital. Mook has served as an administrative nursing supervisor at Reston Hospital Center in Reston, VA. She also held positions as a critical care and burn intensive care nurse.

As a clinical nursing supervisor at the then Loudoun Hospital, Mook was responsible for implementing a process to reduce wait times in the emergency department and streamlining patient scheduling for diagnostic tests and procedures throughout the hospital.
In addition, Mook is chapter secretary for the American Case Management Association, a member of the American Nurses Association, the Virginia Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.

Mook holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Vermont and a Master’s in Nursing Administration from George Mason University.
